Friends
Below are some pics of old and new friends alike. They're in no particular order, except for the Jay-bird. He's first, of course.
The Jay-bird! He's my main squeeze.
Ellen Butters and Nancy Cho. I've known these cats for ages and ages and ages. Butters does have a first name, Ellen, but I prefer her last name.
Janis Gay, a close friend who(m?) I met while working at the Woodruff Foundation
Drew McGukin, my former neighbor and on-call interior decorator
Andrea Johnson, an old pal from spending summers in Colorado as a kid
Andrea Miles, not to be confused with the other Andrea who pronounces her name differently. We go back to the Atlanta days. Jay's behind her wearing a goofy hat.
Katherine Bogaty and Wayne Hilton, a chum I met while living in the Highland Club in Hotlanta. Met Katherine through Wayne and now she's a good chum too.
Jean Bejerano, who flies airplanes for Delta and likes his food to be fresh, fresh, fresh
John Lennon, a very witty and tall fellow who keeps things interesting on kbdc
David Friedman, an old friend of Jay's I got to know well when we moved to NYC
Johnny Murphy, a former buddy from Notre Dame
Brian Willard, an old beau from many years past who is now a good friend
Kara Lotto, my partner-in-crime in high school with her son Matty (who is much older now!)
Chris Hertz and I have been friends since junior high when we were on the cross country team together.
Steve Brunton, also known fondly to the katebroun.com community as Dopp Steve (short for Doppelganger Steve). Here he is preparing to carve a pumpkin with a Dremel drill. With a drill, people!
Felice McBride, an old pal from the days when I worked at Xceed. She now lives in Ireland, where she's from originally, so I've only seen her once in the last few years. Felice, hop on a plane and come visit!
Hope Spencer (she was Hope Nelsen before she got married), a friend from tenth grade on.
Wayne and Katherine again plus Aimee and Dermot Waters. Dermot Dawg is an old chum from the CNN days, and his wife Aimee is a peach too.
Geoff Hickman. We dated right after college, and have kept in touch over the years. By the way, Goeff is last in this list because he is my least favorite friend, in case anyone was wondering. (Had to say that to get old Geoff's goat.)
